In and around our town of Westbrook, we have many bodies of water. One quiet place in particular is Messerschmidt Pond. This pond is a great place for leisurely activities such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and much more. Along the edge of the pond, there is a dam and two waterfalls that flow peacefully over it. Across from the dam, you can find some small hiking trails to which you can explore. Although they don’t go very far, they are still peaceful to traverse. Messerschmidt Pond is a great place to leisurely spend your time.
Remember to always wear or carry your mask when you are out and adhere to wearing it if you come across other people less than six feet apart from you.
